SMART Board™ Interactive Whiteboard Goes Wireless
Data cable no longer required between the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and the computer
Calgary, AB --- October 31, 2002 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces the immediate availability of a wireless option for the entire family of SMART Board interactive whiteboards – SMART Board, Rear Projection SMART Board and SMART Board for Plasma Displays. The complete wireless package includes two paired wireless radios with power supplies. SMART uses IEEE 802.11b technology, the wireless industry standard, making data transfer very quick with no noticeable delay.
Traditionally, the SMART Board interactive whiteboard connected to a computer using a serial or USB cable. The new wireless option eliminates the need for a cable between the interactive whiteboard and the computer, thus simplifying installation.
